Delivered to American Airlines as N8417 in 1968. Leased to British Caledonian as G-AYZZ in 1972 and returned as N8417 in 1973. To Global International Airways in 1981. Reposessed by the lessor in 1984 and stored at Marana. To Boeing for use for parts in the KC-135E program and flown the short distance to Davis-Monthan AFB a few weeks after this photo was taken. Remains scrapped in 2001.

A rare visitor to EMA on a cargo flight. Global International only existed between 1981 and 1984 and was allegedly involved in illegal arms shipments relating to the Iran-Contra scandal. Delivered to American Airlines as N8417 on 30 Aug 1968. It had two spells in 1971 and 1972 leased to BCAL as G-AYZZ. To Global International on 22 Apr 1981. Repossessed Dec 1984. To Davis-Monthan AFB 21 Nov 1985 for parts for the KC-135 program.

Acquired Apr 81. The airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection circa May 1983. This aircraft was repossessed by the Abu Dhabi Bank in Dec 84.

Caledonian weren't common at Heathrow, this freighter leased from American Airlines on the southern taxiway from the Cargo Terminal for a 28L departure.

First flight for this 707 was August 22, 1968 with delivery to American Airlines eight days later. When American sold their early 707s around 1970, most of the later 323s soldiered on until sold back to Boeing for use as parts in the KC-135 re-engine program. This one had been leased to Global International Airways April 1981 (bought March 1983), but still ended up in the re-engine program after Global went bankrupt.
