This aircraft will be more familiar to many older enthusiasts as Forbes Magazine's N60FM "Capitalist Tool", but at the time of the photograph it was leased to the US Department of Energy. In February 1984 it was registered N30EG and from May 1998 to April 2005 it was parked with the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum at Reading, PA., until February 2006 when it was sold to Canada as C-GSKJ with the Province of Saskatchewan and converted as a fire bomber. However it saw little service as it was written off in a fatal crash during a training detail at La Ronge, SK. in May 2006.

Built in 1954 as a CV340 for a corporate customer (as here) and never flew as an airliner. In 2006 it was converted to a water bomber for the Saskatchewan Government and became C-GSKJ. On 14 May 2006, at La Ronge/SK (CYVC), it crashed while flying training circuits after the LH engine autofeathered at low airspeed due to throttle mishandling.
