This Firefly is the former Royal Australian Navy Mk.VI WH632. The RAN disposed of the fighter in 1960 and it was then stored. After six years, WH632 was sold to the Camden Aviation Museum, Camden (NSW). In 1978 it was acquired by Canadian Warplane Heritage, who restored it to airworthy condition at Victoria (BC). It unfortunately crashed on delivery to Hamilton on 6 May 1992 and didn't fly again for three years. Grounded in 2013, it was only returned to flight a few weeks prior to this shot, taken just after a local flight.

Built in 1951 for Royal Navy as WH632. To Royal Australian Navy in 06.53, still as WH632. Retired in 1958. To CWHM in 1978 and registered C-GBDG in 10.91. Since 10.95 flown as "VH142" which was operated by 825 Sqn RCN coded 'BD-G' but lost power and ditched on 08.06.50.

Built in UK in 05.51 as Firefly AS.6 WH632 for the Royal Navy serving with 1840 Squadron. Sold to Australian Navy in 06.53. Retired in 1958 and sold in 1960. To Canada in 1973. Registered C-GBDG in 10.91 and first flew in 04.92. Marked as 'VH142' which was a Firefly AS.5 of the Canadian Navy which crashed on 08.06.50.

The CWHM's Firefly was built in 1951 and first served with the RNVR at Ford, UK. Subsequently it served with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) between 1953 until retirement in 1960 and preservation in a NSW museum. Although a Mk.VI, it has been restored in the colours and markings of a RCN 825 Squadron Firefly Mk. V operating from HMCS Magnificent between 1949-50.

WH632 was sold to the Marrickville branch of the Air League, which kept it in their compound for six years. In 1966 it was donated to the Camden Museum of Aviation. It was sold in 1978 in Canada, where it was restored to airworthy as C-GBDG.
