Another different nose cone on Northrop Grumman's 164.

Seen fitted with a different nose cone. Northrop Grumman's BAC 111s had interchangeable nose cones to test various electronic systems. This was the last flying BAC 111 in the world, and it made its final flight on May 6, 2019.

Any help on the location is appreciated.

My last photo of a flying BAC 1-11 as 164 is about to land on runway 33L at BWI for the last time. . This day marked the end of a 53 year streak of having operational BAC 1-11s at a local airport. Those were CMH, DCA and BWI.

This Northrop Grumman aircraft was the last flying BAC 1-11 in the world, making its farewell flight May 6, 2019 from BWI. The crew did a low fly by over the field, then came in for a landing a few minutes later. It was originally delivered to American Airlines as N5044 on December 16, 1966. The airframe was sold to Dan-Air London as G-AXCK on March 26, 1969 before it came back to the United States with Westinghouse as N164W on February 10, 1983. N164W would arrive at Northrop Grumman on March 1, 1996. The airframe was operated as an avionics and electronics testbed aircraft.

Delivered to American Airlines as N5044 in 1966. To Dan-Air as G-AXCK in 1969 then to Westinghouse Electric Corp as N164W in 1983 and used as a radar test aircraft, To Northrop Grumman Systems Corp in 1996. Still operational in 2018.

Another Westinghouse special. I don't know its purpose, but always felt I should offer it a tissue.

This 1-11 began life as American's N5044 in 12.66, joining Dan-Air in 3.69. Bought by Westinghouse in 2.83 and becoming N164W, she was modified with a long nose and served as an airborne testbed for B-1B avionics. Went on to Northrop Grumman in 3.96 and flew until 2017 with an additional large pod on the port front fuselage
