This 747 was delivered to Pan AM as N654PA "Clipper Pacific Trader" on April 27, 1971. Bought by Flying Tigers and converted to a freighter in 1983, it would become N626FE of Federal Express when the airlines merged on 1989. Last with United Parcel Service from 1991 until withdrawn and scrapped at Roswell, NM in 2008.

As this photo shows N654PA was built as a passenger aircraft for Pan Am, the other photos show it later in the 1970s converted to a side-door freighter. Flaring for Heathrow 28L past a waiting BOAC 747

Freighters don't need to be kept as pristine as passenger aircraft but seeing N654PA trundling past cannot have been good for the whole Pan Am brand. In 1983 it was sold to Flying Tigers as N817FT.
