Delivered to Northwest Orient Airlines as N470US in 1965. To National Airlines as N5609 in 1978 who merged into Pan American in 1980. To Pacific Interstate Airlines in 1984 then to Majestic Airlines in 1988 and Carnival Airlines in 1989. Withdrawn from use at Miami in 1991. Fuselage sunk for use as a reef off Key Biscayne in 1993.

Seen shortly after being acquired from PanAm and still in their basic livery.

After final airline services with Carnival Airlines, N5609 started a second career as an artificial reef off the Florida coast since 1993.

Ex Northwest N470US, registered 22nd June 1978 to National Airlines, merged into PanAm and to Pacific Interstate March 1984, then to Royal West, Majestic Air and finally Carnival Airlines. Sunk in Biscayne Bay FL as artificial reef Sep 1993
