slide scan from the NK collection. - Silver City Airways flew two Vanguards in 1973, this one here was a former Air Canada aircraft, leased from Air Holdings. The aircraft was sold to France at the end of 1973 and was operated by EAS (as F-BUFT) and after 1987 by Intercargo Service (as F-GEJE). On February 06th, 1989 the plane crashed after take off from Marseille.

Delivered to Trans Canada Air Lines as CF-TKG in 1961. Renamed to Air Canada in 1964. To Air Holdings in 1969. Reregistered as G-AYLD in 1970 and converted to a freighter in 1971. To Air Trader as SE-FTH in 1972. Returned to Air Holdings as G-AYLD then to Europe Aero Service as F-BUFT in in 1973. To Air Gabon as TR-LBA in 1983. Photo was taken while it was being prepared for them. To Inter Cargo Service as F-GEJE in 1987. Crashed on takeoff at Marseille in 1989.
