The Safir (Sapphire) was in service with the Flygvapnet from 1946 until 1963. This is the third aircraft to be manufactured and is the oldest flying Safir, being kept airworthy by the Gothenburg Veteran Aircraft Society.

There are two different versions that ended up with this Hkp1 being scrapped at ESGP. The first is that in 1971 the helicopter made an emergency landing in the sea outside Grebbestad because a crack in the exhaust system released exhaust gases into the air intake. The frame was subsequently discarded due to corrosion damage. The other version is that after the filming of the film "Marine's Wings" it had an engine failure and made an emergency landing in the ice forest at Värmdö, ending up on its side. The cockpit was initially preserved at the Naval Museum in Karlskrona but is now at Aeroseum.

This AB-204 was previously used as an instructional airframe by the Flygvapnet but now at Aeroseum has been opened up to allow kids (of all ages) to sit in the cockpit.

This is the ECM (electronic warfare and countermeasures) version, fourteen of which were modified from J32B. Most Lansens were retired in 1978 but the Es lasted until 1997.

This Twin Bonanza was previously N186AA and was exported to Norway in July 1962. It is tucked away right at the back of the Aeroseum tunnel system.

This is the second Gripen prototype and the oldest extant. It was painted black to make it move visible on the Saab testing film and flew for 461 hours between May 1990 and December 1999. It had been on display for a long time at the Flygvapenmuseum at Linköping - Malmen (ESCF) but is now at Aeroseum.

The HKP 4 served in the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) from 1963 until 2011 and proved a very versatile helicopter. The Air Force used it for rescue and medivac work, whereas the Navy used it for anti-submarine warfare and maritime surveillance. This example is now on display at the super Aeroseum.

The Moth Major was superficially similar to its more famous Tiger Moth successor although the wing was somewhat different. This particular plane was used in the 1930s to take whooping cough sufferers on flights in an attempt to cure the illness.

The remnants of this Viggen are one of the outside exhibits at Aeroseum.

This Sk60 had been heavily plundered for spare parts before arriving at Aeroseum. It has been placed on the small hill, outside the main tunnel entrance, overlooking the fuel pumps as one of the external exhibits.

This J22 was delivered in August 1944 to Flygvapnet (Swedish AF) fighter wing F16 and went on to fly with F10 and F3 before being retired in November 1950. It was then used as a wind generator at Karlsborg before falling into disrepair. The frame is now owned by the Svedino's Car and Air Museum and is being restored to flying condition at Aeroseum by Warbirds of Sweden. Great news!

84001 was originally leased to the Flygvapnet in February 1965 having the FMS 64-0546, thereby becoming the first Hercules in service in a European country before being bought outright in September 1965. The plane was retired in 2014 and stored for many years at Marshall's of Cambridge (UK) before being returned to Sweden in 2022. The plane is currently stored outside the main entrance to Aeroseum, along with 84003 out of shot the right. It was originally intended that 84001 be preserved at the Flygvapenmuseum at Linköping/Malmen, so time will tell.

The Draken was delivered to the Flygvapnet in 1969 as a J 35F and assigned to Skåne (Scania) air flotilla F 10 in Ängelholm. The plane was later modified to a J 35J, but a somewhat curious fact is that the head of the Flygvapnet at the time, Sven-Olof Olson, decided that J would be the new version designation after the modification from the J 35F. This was because the tenth letter of the alphabet is J and all of the newly modified Drakens were going to be placed with F 10. After retirement the Flygvapnetmuseum took over the aircraft and placed it with Aeroseum in 2008.
