It ditched in the bay of Hyeres, France, on June 12, 2010, during an event to commemorate the centenary of Aéronautique Navale. Pilot escaped unhurt. After being recovered from the water, the aircraft was sold to the German Hangar10 organisation, based at Zirchow, and was restored to airworthy condition by Meier Motors. The aircraft flew again on 21 July 2019.

This is an original Storch built in Kassel in 1944. Version D-2 was an air ambulance aircraft for the transportation of two stretchers and a seat for the paramedic behind the pilot. After the war the plane was acquired by the Air Fighter Academy and fully restored in 2017. It is now part of this collection of airworthy warbirds at EDAH.
