The Caproni Ca.3 is an Italian heavy bomber of World War I and the postwar era. It was the most produced version of the series of aircraft that began with the 1914 Caproni Ca.1 and continued until the more powerful 1917 Caproni Ca.5 variant. In Caproni's postwar renaming, the Ca.3 became the Ca.33.

With nearly 23 m (75 ft) wing span and 450 hp from three engines, the Ca.3 was a huge heavy bomber of WW1 and the years thereafter. Of the main wartime version, 270 had been delivered by 1917.

After it had been withdrawn from use, Lt. Casimiro Buttini purchased this aircraft in which he earned a Gold Medal of Valor. It was stored in a barn until the Italian air force bought it back in 1959 and has been completely overhauled and rebuilt since.
