One of three Oxfords allocated by the RAAF to the USAAF at Townsville. The others were VHCOA and VHCOB however VHCOC is most likely. It had been BM740 in RAAF service, which had retained its RAF serial. The registrations were call signs used by transport aircraft in the South-West Pacific theatre and not civil registrations. They did not have hyphens. VHCOC was returned to the RAAF. Photo from: Townsville City Library

Both aircraft ferried to AST's engineering base at Perth, Scotland in June 1960 for ground instructional use. Both obtained by the RAF Museum in March 1969 and moved to Henlow. G-AITF was exchanged with the South African Air Force Museum for Lockheed Ventura 6130 in February 1984. G-AITB is on display at Hendon as MP425 in 2020.
