First flying in 1935, the FN.305 was a fighter trainer and liaison monoplane developed by the Fratelli Nardi company. Three prototypes and 208 production aircraft were built by Piaggio up till 1943, Nardi's premises not being big enough for this work. The type was also supplied to Romania (which also licence-built them), Chile, Hungary and France.

By late 1927 the SANA company operated nine Dornier Wal Cabina passenger flying boats on the Genova - Rome and Rome - Naples - Palermo routes. Services to Tripoli, Libya via Syracuse and Barcelona via Marseille were inaugurated during 1928. Dornier produced the Wal in Marina di Pisa at this time. Trainer, liaison and tourism aircraft, signature product of the Fratelli Nardi (Nardi Brothers) aircraft company. Like many others, this one was built by Piaggio and became I-DASM of various aeroclubs. Eventually restored and painted in Regia Aeronautica livery by the Rome chapter of the Group of Historic Aircraft Friends and made available for display here.
