Originally registered CF-CYT by De Havilland Canada for production flight testing, this Chipmunk was RCAF 18006 with the Air Force. To Crown Assets Disposal Corporation for sale in October 1964 , the aircraft reverted to CF-CYT when registered civily. The aircraft is pictured temporally registered CF-CYTX with a recent very clean Continental engine conversion. It was sold in 1985 and registered N18EF in the USA where it is current at the time of uploading.

Catching a fleeting ray of sunshine. The Skyhopper I was a single seat aircraft designed near the end of World War II. Certification was cancelled post war with the expected civil aviation boom not really happening. Eventually sold as one of the early homebuilt plans available, the widened two seat Skyhopper II became available in 1962. Builders were able to use a variety of engines, cowling and canopy designs. The finish on this one was exceptional.
