The Empress has been moved again to near where she taxied onto the premises in 2010. On both sides, the Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers logo has been painted over and small DC-6 Truck Parts titles were added to the rear fuselage, the current name of the company behind this technology museum under development.

Marksman conversion #5 of just eight, a true gem saved by the Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers owners from further decay at the SAAF Museum, that lacked funding for this non-air force aircraft. High-speed civil executive Invader conversion, pressurized and fitted with DC-6 flat windshields and cockpit side windows. Originally A-26B 44-34567, to N9412Z in 1960 with On Mark Engineering at Van Nuys, CA. As ZS-CVD to the Iron & Steel Industrial Corporation (ISCOR), 1962 to 1976. To the SAAF Museum in 1977 after engines had been sold separately. Brought here in 2010 and reassembled in 2018, still in the same livery as with ISCOR.

This was Aeroflot CCCP-07787 from 1975 until 1998, when sold to Lesotho. Impounded there in 2001, later illegally entered South Africa in 2005 and confiscated at Bapsfontein. At its present location since 2018, registration painted over but readable. The damage was caused by a grass fire at Bapsfontein in 2008.

This DC-6 arrived here on 4 December 2010, landing spectacularly on a small dirt strip nextdoor. Great clips of its arrival can be found on YouTube. It is ex ZS-XXX, reregd to ZS-MUL on 29 October 2010, shortly before this delivery flight. It's now in use as an eye-catcher, and photos can be taken from outside the fence, for those arriving after closing time, like us. It has the logo of its owner Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers on the fin. The aircraft's name dates back to the late 1950s, when this aircraft served with Canadian Pacific Airlines as CF-CZV, and was named "Empress of Suva".
