This P-40L was recovered from the beach in the area where the museum is located. It was operated by the 79th Fighter Group. On 31st January 1944, it aircraft crashed nearby at sea during the Anzio landings. It is preserved in the same condition as it was found.

This example was one of five ex Indian AF C-119Gs acquired in the Congo where the Italians were contributing to UN intervention forces. It underwent ECM conversion in 1976 and was wfu at Pratica di Mare by 1979 after service with 71° Gruppo. One of the well-known sprayer Harpoons from Mesa Falcon Field, AZ, which was moved into storage in Italy around 2006. Originally taken on strength by the USN as 37419 in 1945 and wfu in 1953, it was restored by 2017 to represent MM80074 during its service with 87° Gruppo at Catania-Fontanarossa airport, featuring a turret from a Martin Baltimore and a fabricated nose gun pack.
