Operated by Air Trips. British Empire Air Displays air display held at Westwood Heath near Coventry. Between 12,000 and 15,000 spectators saw an accident to Miss Pauline Gower flying her Spartan Three Seater, G-ABKK, the aircraft was written off that afternoon when it was hit by Lionel Gray in his Avro 504N, G-AECR. They were taking off at the same time but in different directions. The Avro landed safely but the Spartan crashed in a wheat field and Pauline Gower was badly injured. The aircraft was not repaired and written off.

10th May 1936. Tom Campbell Black's British Empire Air Display visited Westwood, Heath near Coventry. Undercarriage struck a hedge when taking off. The pilot circled the field and landed with minimal damage and no injury on the one remaining undercarriage leg. (Aviation in Warwickshire Between the Wars by Alfred Jenks 2006) G-ADDT was lost in a fatal accident at Porthcawl in July 1936.
