Serial 271 is a Aero Vodochody built CS-102/MiG-15UTI of Polish AF. Delivered '54, converted SBLim-2, reserialled 2271. To Evergreen Ventures as N271JM in '88. 11 Apr'88 rr to NX271JM as MiG-15UTI, but kept N271JM. Planned for use with the Defense Test & Evaluation Agency, Kirtland AFB (NM). Was used in the 1988 movie "Steal the Sky" in this Iraqi AF c/s. On 6 Nov'96 crashlanded at Fallon MAP (NV) in a soft dirt field, 200 ft short of threshold. Restored and preserved at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum (OR). Restored for flight but canx in '11. Aug'13 to Defense Antiquities Museum, Ft.Meyers

This Lim-2 was used in this Iraqi Air Force colourscheme in the 1988 movie Steel the Sky. Unfortunately, it was fully unmarked. It possibly belonged to a shipment of fourteen former Polish Air Force Lim-2's that went thru the UK in 1986 to the USA, being serials 271, 638, 640, 817, 822, 1013, 1016, 1120, 1205, 1416, 1606, 1614, 1621, 1629. Anyone able to confirm its identity?

Former Polish AF serial 822, sold to LBA Systems, Retford (UK) in Sep'86. Later in '86 sold to MacGuire, Ft.Hancock (TX), shipped to Oakland (CA). Reassembled at Reno, became N822JM in Jan'87. In Jun'87 Classics, American Avn, Reno acquired it and they repainted it in Soviet AF c/s. Used in 1988 movie Steel the Sky in Iraq AF c/s. Mar'88: rr to NX822JM MiG-15UTI, kept N822JM with the Defense Test & Evaluation Agency, Kirtland AFB (NM) up to '89. Stored AMARC by '92, to USAF museum Dayton (OH), loaned to Pima (AZ), repainted North Korean AF c/s. Oct'97: to private owner but remained at Pima.

Former Danish AF E-408

This awesome machine is just returning to its spot on the flightline after its performance on the first full day of the Sanicole Airshow. It is wearing its genuine historic markings, the civil registration hints to the construction number. Flying again since July 2019 after a lengthy engine restoration.

This Chinese-built MiG-17 belongs to the Golden Gate Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, and was temporarily displayed at the Castle Air Museum from 2004 until it was moved to Midland, TX in 2011/2012. It is in Iraqi markings without serial, still marked as N1VC on the rear fuselage (just visible below the wing). Although listed on the USCAR as serial number 2705, it is believed to be c/n 2507 (the former 2507 of the China Air Force).
