Parked here on "Celebrity Row" at AMARC but later sold as N1597F. This aircraft was written-off on 26 November 1993. It crashed while attempting to land in poor weather at Patriot Hills Antarctica. Thankfully the eight people on board did not suffer any significant injuries. The aircraft's name "Nancy" was in honour of the wife of Rear Admiral Clinton Taylor, the Commander of US Navy South Atlantic Forces in the early 1980s.

Delivered to the US Navy as 131617 in 1953. Preserved at Scott AFB, IL from 1986. Sold to Basler Flight Service as N70BF in 1989 then to Servicios Aereos Ejecutivos as XA-SCZ in 1992. Sold as N70BF in 1998 then to Florida Air Transport in 2000. Converted to sprayer configuration in 2012. Based at Kalaeloa, HI from 2018. Used for oil spill dispersal by the National Response Center.

This C-9B was once registered as N507MD. It flew from NAS Atlanta (GA) with Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 46 "Eagles". The C-9B was phased out from US Navy service and arrived ar AMARC on 1 May 2002. Nice to know... In February 1985, the last piston driven C-118 Liftmaster in military service was retired by VR-46 as the squadron transitioned to the C-9B. VR-46 was sadly disestablished on 30 September 2012.
