Later registered as F-BSTM. Converted for Turbomeca by Miles Aviation from a Turbo Commander 680T (ex G-AWXK, N6300) as a test bed for the Astafan jet engine. It first flew on 8 April 1971, and has been preserved at Perpignon since 1991. (A second Turbo Commander, F-BXAS, was also converted to Astafan power by Miles Aviation, and operated by Turbomeca.)

Only 12 of these Nord 260's were built, this one dates from 1962 but they were the forerunner to the more sucesssful Nord 262. Seen here at Beauvais in 1977 it was transferred to the historical register as F-AZRH in 1996 and remained current in 2010. Scanned from a slide.

Another rare French transport, which began life as the Max Holste MH-260 in 1959, powered by Turbomeca Bastan IV turboprops (predecessor of the Astazou). Although only 10 were completed, the 260 went on to be developed into the 262 of which some 111 were built. This 260 remained flyable with Assoc. Antelope at Montpelier till 2010 but by 2012 was stored with tail removed
