153076 was assigned to the Blue Angels for all five of the years the F-4 was used by the team. It had various position numbers during the 1969 - 1973 teams, and in 1970 was assigned as number 6, one of the solo aircraft. In the slide the crew under the fuselage is installing one of the dummy Sparrow missiles.

Getting ready to depart the airfield after having been on static display at the airshow. Eventually sold to the civilian market and registered in 1978 as N9424A, which was cancelled in September 2013.

This F-4B was not on display at the airshow but instead was parked with the Blue Angel F-4J demonstration a/c. Note that it has no unit markings at all. It was eventually converted to a F-4N.

This P-38L was built as USAAF 43-50281, one of 113 P-38L a/c built under contract by Consolidated-Vultee in Nashville, TN. It was destroyed in a crash and the pilot killed during a single engine landing at Lafayette, LA on 19 October 1974.

On static display at the airshow. VS-41 was based at NAS North Island, CA. and was the squadron responsible for the training of S-2 aircrew and technicians.
