Sea Hornet landing, probably on HMS Glory, in 1953. If the date is correct it was coded 531/HF at that time and operated by 728 NAS from Hal Far, Malta. TT197 was struck off charge on 5th January 1956 and "disposed of at sea" on 1st February 1956. Photographer not known. Photo obtained from former Fleet Air Arm pilot in 1971.

Photo believed to be at Tengah or Changi. The ferry tanks may mean it is at the end of its ferry flight from the UK because tanks were not normally fitted for combat missions over Malaya. Hornet F.3 operated by the Aeroplane & Armament Experimental Establishment with no squadron service. Obtained from DH many years ago.

Built by DH at Chester in September 1949. Latterly flown by the Airwork operated Fleet Requirements Unit based at St Davids, South Wales. Retired in 10.55.

Sea Hornet naval night fighter displayed at RNAS Stretton (Cheshire) in June 1955 with wings folded. Flown by the Airwork Ltd operated Fleet Requirements Unit based at St Davids, South Wales. Withdrawn in October 1955.

DH Hornet of 41 Squadron (based at RAF Church Fenton) visiting Ringway for a small Battle of Britain air show. The squadron's Hornets were replaced by Gloster Meteor F.8's in April 1951.
