Air Canada was a launch customer for the DC-9, but they sold their first six DC-9-14s some two years after delivery. Converting the last two to DC-9-32s with a follow on order for another seventeen of the bigger model to increase domestic capacity. In 1967 Air Canada bought seven DC-9-15RCs from Continental bringing the short bodies back into the fleet This one flew with them from September 1972 to February 1981.
