The aircraft first flew in November 1942 and first saw action in North Africa in January 1943. To Malta with 154 Sqn, where it took part in the invasion of Sicily. Moved to Italy, back to Malta in October 1945 for meteorological flights from Hal Far. Moved to Luqa, where it suffered damage to the tail during strong winds. Withdrawn from service as result of the damage. It was stored, but various parts were removed as a souvenir. From the early 1990's the aircraft was restored (in only 2,5 years). Various parts were resourced, even used from submerged aircraft around the island.

Delivered to LACSA in November 1972 as TI-1095C. Reregistered TI-LRI in January 1974. To TACA in November 1981. To Dan-Air in May 1982 as G-BJYM. Withdrawn from use on October 30, 1992 and stored at Southend from November 25, 1992 - May 28, 1993. To British Air Ferries in November 1992. To British World Airlines in April 1993, later reregistered G-OBWE. Withdrawn from use and stored at Southend between November 29, 2000 and June 14, 2002. To Air Leone in May 2002 as 9L-LDJ, but never entered service. Stored at Malta on June 14, 2002 and used by the fire dept. for training. Broken up in 2018.

Delivered to Western Airlines in July 1962 as N93145. To Sheikh K. Adham in August 1978. Registered to Quadriga as HZ-NAA. Registered to the Sheikh again in June 1980 as HZ-KA1. To Comtran International in December 1989 as N2143J. To JAR Aircraft Services in November 1991 as N720JR. To the Republic of Congo in November 1998 before finally registered to JR Aviation in 1999. A rich history for the aircraft and it seemed airworthy in October 2003. Landed at Malta in March 2004, where it was parked since. Eventually the aircraft was scrapped there in January 2018.
