This aircraft crashed and burned at Oberbeuren on 12 May 1966, shortly after taking-off from Kaufbeuren Air Base en route to Nordholz Air Base, while being operated by MFG3, Marineflieger. The aircraft was destroyed and the three crew killed.

Delivered to the RAF 30 June 1952.

First flew 27 August 1958 and exhibited at the Farnborough Airshow in September 1958. Delivered to RAF 10 October 1958. Derelict at RAF Muhurraq by May 1968. SOC 30 October 1968 and ended its days with the fire section at Muhurraq.

Registered in August 1957. Was supposed to be ZK-BUM under New Zealand's then strict registration sequence but deemed too rude. The registration has never been allocated. Bristol's demonstrator Britannia 300 Series has just been painted in full Cubana colour scheme prior to a 27,000 mile sales tour around South America. The smallest runway used was at B.A. Aeroparque - 5100 ft. Cubana ordered several Britannias and operated them until 1990 - the longest service of any B175 operator. From Bristols 50 years ago.
