Delivered to the USAAF as 42-100884 in 1943. To the RAF as TS423 in 1944. After the war she went to Short Brothers, Scottish Aviation, Marshalls and Ferranti. At Ferranti she acquired a non standard nose for testing air pass radar for the Lightning fighter. Saved from the scrapman by Aces High in 1979 and registered as G-DAKS a few days before this photo was taken. Later fitted with a normal nose. Reregistered as N147DC in 1998.
