Later operated with Trump Shuttle and USAir Shuttle as N904TS. Finished up in the DR of Congo as 9Q-CWT. Noted stored 2005.

Titles are on the sticker with a caricature of a mosquito. Later on in life this aircraft was sold to Australia and crashed on take-off from Oakland CA. on 7 Mar 93. It was en route to Honolulu on its delivery flight. The probable cause given in the NTSB report was "A premature lift off and inadvertent stall by the pilot-in-command. Contributing to the accident was insufficient available aircraft performance data after a ferry tank installation and both pilot's lack of total experience in the airplane."

Sadly not looking as presentable as it was in Bob Garrard's great picture of it in 1968. It was used for evacuation training between 1982-86 and broken up sometime after that.

Last seen still active in 2015 as TC-SSS.

Seen stored at Queen Beatrix International Airport, Aruba, Nov 83. Reg reported as cancelled in May 2013. I have tried to research the Trader John reference on the aircraft but have been unsuccessful. The logo preceding "Trader" is that of a large sailing ship. It may have been the name of such a ship, although I haven't found any record of it (yet).

Noted, still with same reg, based at Yerington Municipal NV (about 75Km south east of Reno) in 2017. Reg cancelled in Jan 2018.

Seen active at Oshkosh in Jul 2017 and at Lakeland Apr 2018. Reg cancelled Feb 2019.

The Captain popped the window open to give me a smiling pose! The aircraft went to Ocean Airways in Jan 80. It also later operated with Southern International Airways and Systems International Airways. To Federal Leasing Co Jun89 and stored Bartow FL in Systems Intl cols minus titles. Reported purchased by Save-a-Connie in Oct 95. Presumed broken up.

In 1975 Florida Airlines took over both Air South and Shawnee Airlines, because their route networks supplemented that of Florida Airlines perfectly. The two airlines continued to operate under their own names as Florida Airlines subsidiaries, but their combined routes were marketed as "The Connection". Some aircraft carried large "The Connection" titles, and often also the actual airline's name in smaller size. The reg was cancelled in Apr 77. I saw a photo of it still at Sarasota in 2013 albeit in a more derelict state.
