First flying on 6.6.62, this Vanguard takes the honour of being both the last to be built and the last to perform a passenger service, in late Oct 1987 (Jakarta-Medan-Jakarta). Firstly CF-TKW with TCA and sold by Air Canada to EAS as F-BTOV 4.72, operating their final Vanguard pax flight Orly-Perpignan on 8.1.81; to Merpati in May that year. Sold back to EAS for spares and ferried to PGF 12.87. Remains were apparently moved to a location in the Pyrenees near Spanish border for use as a rescue trainer

At the time Merapti had a large number of F27s, F28s and CN235s in store around their hangar at Surabaya. This Friendship, ex ZK-NFB, returned to service till 12.04 and remained stored at Surabaya, all white and stripped of engines and other parts. TT 48844 hrs with 60885 landings

First flown in July 1981, this Fokker was delivered to Garuda as PK-GKG. Leased to Merpati in 1989. Re-registered in 1996, and stored since 1998. Also visible are PK-IHT, HS-VAU and HS-UTC.

Delivered new to MNA in 1967, PK-NUC received a longer nose, probably during this visit to Hawker de Havilland at Bankstown. It was lost in 1973 in a fatal crash at Nabire, Papua.
