Wardair's first GE powered 747 was delivered new June 9, 1978. It was sold to British Caledonian Airlines in October 1986 as Wardair was changing from it's charter airline roots to scheduled service using smaller Airbus wide bodies.

One of two 747s ordered by Braniff International in 1969 for new Pacific routes expected to be awarded to the airline by the US Civil Aeronautics Board. When that award only allowed flights to Hawaii, this aircraft was traded back to Boeing for 727s before delivery. First flight March 21, 1971, it was stored at Wichita, KS until Wardair bought it as their first wide body. It was delivered March 23, 1973 and in the fleet until the airline was bought by Canadian Airlines in 1989.

Wardair's "Cy Becker" delivered in 4.66 was their first jet, regularly being used on Transatlantic services, 707s with non-stop capability not following until 1968. Love that smoke. Sold to Cruzeiro as PP-CJI in 5.73 then to Colombia as HK-3770, being used successively by Avesca, Transapel, Aerocor, Aerocar and Satena. A little over three years old at the time of this shot, CF-ZYP was sold to Montana Austria as OE-IDA in 12.78. Seized at Houston after drug smuggling incident in 5.81 and sold by US Jutice Dept for a mere $22,500; converted to C-137C for USAF as 85-6973 in 7.85. Used as E-3 pilot trainer in 2000 and modified to E-8C Joint Stars specification, re-serialled 00-2000 (aircraft P-15)

Wardair entered the jet age with Canada's first Boeing 727 in 1966. The 727 was a little short on range to operate Wardair's trans-Atlantic charters profitably and they ordered this 707 to expand and make money on the routes. "C. H. "Punch" Dickens" was delivered April 17, 1968 and was joined later by another 707 (CF-ZYP) from a cancelled Quebecair order. C-FFAN was sold in 1978 with the aircraft ending it's days in Miami, broken up there in 1996.

Delivered from McDonnell Douglas December 1978 and operated until sold during the amalgamation with Canadian Airlines in 1989. To the GPA Group and later Aero USA for lease to Garuda and Lineas Aereas Paraguayas respectively. Converted to a freighter in 1997 for DAS Air Cargo and finally broken up June 2006.

Operating a transatlantic charter flight. "Cy Becker" served Wardair from April 1966 until sale to Cruzeiro in May 1973.

Delivered August 6, 1978, "Don Braun" was one of two Dash 7s bought by Wardair for their Northern operation out of Yellowknife, N.W.T. Although very much liked by the airline, the Dash 7s had a short career with Wardair. The Yellowknife office was closed in 1979 and this aircraft was sold to Air Pacific.
