The type was used during the internal conflict which ended in 2009. Three HS748s once operated by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) still exist today at various places around this island nation. CR-831 is devoid of most of its markings, but is nonetheless in good shape when found in the excellent SLAF museum at Ratmalana.
