Delivered to the USAF on 8 December 1965 and assigned to 30th TRS, 10th TRW at RAF Alconbury through 1970. As there is the vertical fin of a RAF Canberra in the photo, most likely Great Britain. Date appears to be 1966-68 as it is not yet in the USAF Vietnam tricolor camoflauge scheme. Any infomation would be welcomed! Regards, Bob Thomas

Light parasol monoplane designed by Harvey and Wilson Doyle and built by Vulcan company of Portsmouth, Ohio, which made golf clubs. Name American Moth chosen to capitalise on popularity of DH Moth. After eight examples, assets and rights taken over by Davis Aircraft, which produced the modified Davis V-3 and D-1, of which some 60 were built. This P-2J is now preserved in the Kanoya Naval Air Base Museum, but here still operational.

Operated from at least three continents as a passenger, VIP and cargo plane before being converted (again) into an airtanker. That role ended after about two years already due to corrosion. She has donated many useful parts since then.
