This shiny Yak was relatively new on the Register, having joined on 20 April 2006. It was manufactured in 1980 and overhauled in Lithuania in 2002, where it became LY-ARH. Resident in the UK for some time, it was sold and ferried to Australia in 2006. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

This S-61 was manufactured in 1968, probably as an SH-3 Sea King. It was civilianised in Sept 1992 and registered in the USA as N306V. In 1994 it went to South Africa as ZS-HGU, before returning to the US Register. It has subsequently alternated between US and Canadian registry. It was contracted for bushfire-fighting in Victoria, Australia, during the summer of 2008/9 and was based at Warrnambool. It was photographed here at the Australian International Airshow where it made a one-day appearance in the flying display.

This aircraft is the only one of its kind in Australia. Only two were ever imported, the other (VH-WWL) having been burnt in 1966. VH-WWE was registered new in Australia on 5 November 1962. The Rangemaster was a 5-seat development of the earlier North American, later Ryan, Navion produced immediately after the Second World War. The tip-tanks are a prominent recognition feature.

This aircraft has had an adventurous life. Built in 1984, it was originally D-IDBI (probably a flight test reg) before becoming N233RP with Precision Airlines, later Northwest Airlink. In 1995 it was exported to Nigeria where it became 5N-DOG. In 2007 it was exported to Australia to join the growing GAM Dornier fleet, and was registered VH-VJN on 25 June that year.
