Bert Hinkler flew this Puss Moth from New York to London via the South Atlantic: via Jamaica, Maracaibo (Venezuela), Natal, Bathurst (Gambia), St Louis (Senegal), Casablanca, Madrid, and Paris. He is seen arriving at Le Bourget. He continued to London Air Park the same day. Apparently the aircraft name Karohi was only worn on the left side. Hinkler fatally crashed the aircraft in Italy 13 months later.

ZK-ABR departing Sydney for London flown by Francis Chichester and FD Herrick. The plane had been shipped to Sydney from New Zealand for the flight. While the library caption says the aircraft is taking off, the "runway" is the taxiway serving the hangars in the background. The aircraft may actually be doing a low pass for the camera before heading off. ZK-ABR was sold in the UK as G-AFDH in 1937. Photo from: National Library of Australia
