Former USN 158562 was wfu in 2011, but after a short stay at AMARG the Huey was upgraded and entered service again, this time with the USAF's 1st HS. It received a strange USAF serial number based on its former BuNo. The serial representation on the tail is strange too, with one of the digits missing.

A few minutes after take-off from Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (DC), this Huey (former BuNo 158562) was in a north-bound hurry over the Potomac into the direction of the Thomas-Jefferson memorial. After its career with the US Marine Corps, the Huey arrived at AMARG on 26 Jan'11 with inventory code 7H0057. After some 7 months of storage, the USAF selected the Bell for conversion. It was taken from AMARG on 18 Aug'11 and was moved to Fleet Readiness Center East Cherry Point (NC) for depot-level maintenance overhaul. During '14 it was taken on strength of the 1st Helicopter Squadron at Andrews.

Assigned to Det 2. 67th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany. To the Inter-American Air Forces Academy (IAAFA), Kelly Field, TX for use as a ground trainer by 2004. The IAAFA later moved to Lackland AFB, TX.

Preparing for a maintenance flight, H-90 sports a United Nations white livery. The air force supported two UN missions around that the time, in Haiti and in Cyprus.

Preparing for the Colombian Independence Parade over Bogota, large Armada titles were applied a few days before this picture was taken. Ex Canadian armed forces CH-135 135133 transferred to the Colombian army as EJC-229, via the US Department of State (as N91974), it was transferred to the navy in April 2009.

Stopping for fuel on its way to Bogota, ARC221 was delivered to the navy in 2009. It was transferred from Colombian army service, where it flew as EJC-206, although owned by the US Department of State as N9091Q since 1999. Before 1999 it was a Canadian armed forces CH-135 with serial 135123.

Exactly three months after this picture was taken, EJC-4214 was written off in a crash, on 15 October 2013, fortunately with no casualties. The former Canadian 135134, it was delivered to Colombia in late 1999 as EJC-214 via the US Department of State, that registered it as N9195Y in the mean time. It was handed over to Colombian government control in 2010.

A former Canadian CH-135, serial 135145 with a very interesting history. It went to the US Department of State as N9103A and as such served in Colombia as EJC4215 and in Iraq as IRQ-145N, the serial still worn when it was on display at the Titusville Air Show in 2013.
