This Squirrel was delivered new to the RAAF for the ADF Helicopter School, RAAF Fairbairn, Canberra on 12 June 1984. Sold in 2002, it was civil registered as VH-ALP(3) on 20 March 2003. Taxying for Prominent Hill as flight QQ4527. This aircraft seems to have been laid down for the Singapore Air Force, but was not taken up. It made its first flight on 3 October 1996 using the Dutch flight-test registration PH-JCR. It was delivered to Formosa Airlines on the 19th as B-12276. This airline merged with Mandarin Airlines in August 1999. In 2007 the aircraft came to Australia, being re-registered VH-FKX to Alliance Airlines on 9 August that year.

Later converted to a cropduster and re-registered VH-BTX . Withdrawn from use in 1963 after a ground fire. Restored to the register in 1994. Re-registered VH-MJW in March 2009. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.
