In the early 1960s, Capitol Airways built up a significant fleet of Constellations and Super Constellations that were used extensively in its civilian and military charter business until they were replaced by Douglas DC-8s.

Owned by David C Tallichet - Military Aircraft Restoration Corp and painted in Soviet Air Force markings. W/o on 05 May 1944 at Alaska Highway 141 miles, AK. Recovered from its crash site to Fort Nelson, BC, Canada in Nov 1971. Displayed at the Air Museum Chino later marked as USAAF 42-19027.

Constructed as a FG-1D in 1945 by Goodyear with BuNo 92106. Sold by disposals at NAS Spokane, WA in May 1958. Displayed at Berryman Park, Bridgeport, WA until 1973 when it was moved to Chino for David Tallichet and registered N6897. Painted to represent an aircraft form VMF-214, Blacksheep squadron. Registration cancelled in Apr 1989. Completely restored between 1990 and 2003 and registered N106FG. To Canada as C-GVWC on 02 Jun 2008. Crashed on 03 Jul 2019, pilot injured. Remains put up for sale for a complete restoration in Aug 2022. Bought and registered back to N106FG on 23 Mar 2023.

This nice 737 brought a Nixon campaign group in for a rally and later dinner in Orinda.

Registered with the USAAF on 20 Jul 1945 as 45-49205. To the Peruvian Air Force as 547 on 16 Mar 1953. Later to 122. Stored from 1963 to 1969. Registered in the USA as N47DE on 24 Jul 1969. From 1975 to 1979 stored at Barstow. Registered in the UK as G-BLZW on 15 Jul 1989. Back to N47DE on 17 Dec 1985. To N47RP in Mar 1986. Current in 2023 with Pond Warbirds of Reno, NV painted as 228473.

This Stearman was converted into a rice seeder, seen here with small Willows Flying Service titles and logo on the tail. It is ex USAF 42-17282, and survived with various owners in the USA as N4763V until cancelled from the register in September 2011 on export to Brazil as PR-TCP.

Delivered to the USAAF as 44-61669 on 05 May 1945 and operated from Guam during WWII. Later modified to a TB-29A. Assigned to NAWS China Lake on 18 Mar 1956 and used as a ground target. Assigned to the USADF Museum Loan Programme and loaned to Yesterdays Air Force in 1974. Flown to Barstow for storage. Registered on the US civil register as N3299F on 30 Apr 1976. Cancelled on 15 Aug 1995. Loaned to the March Field Air Museum and flown there for preservation in Jan 1981.

Assigned serial 44-74494 on 17 Dec 1944. To the Royal Canadian Air Force as Mustang TF.IV with serial 9237 on 06 Dec 1950. Withdrawn by 1958. Ferried to the US as N6313T but ntu. To N6356T on 27 Dec 1959. To N72FT in Jan 1981. Still current in 2023. Flies in South Africa painted as USAAF 411661.

Modified as a crop duster and later as a fire fighting Air Tanker with a T-6 engine. Was officially registered to Dale P. Newton (Talent, OR) from June 1981 until cancelled in November 2012. Preserved at the Pima Air Museum since 1990. According to them the U.S. Forest Service loaned the aircraft to the museum as part of their program to preserve historic fire-fighting aircraft. The museum purchased the aircraft in 2015.

This 1976 YF-18A is the 6th McDonnell Douglas built single seat prototype and was delivered to the US Navy on 31 Jan'80 with code 6 to the Naval Air Test Center, NAS Patuxent River (MD). It served the NATC up to 22 Oct'84 when it was transferred to NASA. Initially it carried its BuNo and "NASA 840", in 1985 it received registration N840NA. The Hornet was used from 1987-1996 as a High Alpha Research Vehicle with thrust-vectoring vanes, research flight control system and forward fuselage strakes. Since 2003 it is preserved at the Virginia Air & Space, Hampton (VA). Here pictured at Dryden FRC.

There were ten 354th TFW A-10A's visiting from Myrtle Beach AFB, SC. Later converted to an OA-10A. Retired to AMARC with inventory code AC0171 on 05 Apr 1993. Departed to HVF West in Tucson, AZ on 28 Jan 2016 for scrapping.
