This Z-143 is pictured taxiing out for take-off after whilst attending the super 11th Reunion of Czechoslovak Aircraft.

This An-2 was originally TOC with the Czechoslovak AF as 7003 in 1962. It bacame OK-RIO in August 1968 and then OM-RIO in September 1996 with the registration being cancelled some two years later. The plane was previously displayed in Šúrovce on a pedestal but the remains are now stored on a plot next to this hotel.

This Z-37 belongs to the Zvolen Aviation Sport Club but appears to have been quite a while since it has actually flown.

I suppose this old Bumble Bee must be preserved as it has been placed on top of a containers at this airport in south, central Slovakia.

This 772 was delivered to British Airways in November 1995 and is pictured about to touch down on rw27R. The plane was wfu in January 2020, ferried to At. Athan (DGX) and scrapped a few months later.

This 320 was delivered to British Airways in June 2003 and is pictured about to touch down on rw27R.

This was delivered to Virgin in December 2006 and is pictured about to touch down on rw27R. The plane was withdrawn from the fleet in September 2019 and now flies for European Cargo as G-ECLN.

On my recent previous visits to EGBP this FG1 was always hidden away in the British Phantom Aviation Group's conservation tent hangar visible on the right. Fortunately, this time it had been moved outside, had wings attached and was a very nice bonus to make my day.

This 789(BBJ) was orginally delivered to Kalair in April 2015 but immediately placed into storage at Basel (LFSB), where it stayed until ferried to EGBP in April 2024. It is now owned by AJW and will be scrapped for spares.

EGBP is a truely wondeful airfield and this nice PA-28 was parked on the Freedom Aviation ramp during my visit.

In Jan. 1945 Wiener-Neustadt was one of 39 sites producing Bf-109s and was bombed 28 times during WWII. In the same month, Uffz. Herbert Maxis was flying 784993 in IV/JG53 as part of Operation Bodenplatte when he attacked an American convoy near Ober-Felsberg in the Saarland but was shot-down by ground fire. Maxis belly landed the plane successfully but was shot by an American soldier as he exited the plane. The wreck was later buried but re-discovered in 1987 and used, along with from parts of many different authentic 109s, for the restoration of 784993, which is now on display at Aviaticum.

The AVIA FL.3 (post-WWII known as the Lombardi FL.3) was an Italian two-seat cabin monoplane that first flew in 1939 In 1953 Meteor SpA acquired the rights for the FL.3 and with some re-design produced eight examples as the Meteor FL.53. This was followed by ten examples of a three-seat version the FL.54 with smaller number of later variants also produced. This FL.54 is now on display at Aviaticum.

This Czech-built Demoiselle aluminium replica was first flown at Brno Medlánky (LKCM) in December 1992 and is now part of the Aviaticum collection at LOAN.

This early-ish fighter Draken (preceeded by A and succeeded by D, F and J) is on display at this car dealership in Kareby.

This chubby little fellow is the unarmed, reconnaisance version of the J 29 Tunnan and is on display outside this car dealership in Kareby.

This Viggen is the single-seat ground-attack fighter aircraft (AJ: Attack-Jakt) and was subsequently upgraded to S standard. It is now preserved at a rest area on the Trollhättan to Lidköping road.

This An-24 flew with LOT from April 1966 until wfu around February 1992. For some time it was dumped at Grodzisko but is now preserved at this ANPOL Recreation Centre. However, at the time of the photo the complex was closed for renovation so there is no water in the lake.
