With the peculiar hybrid registration used while G-BOAA was engaged on the short-lived BA/Braniff LHR-IAD-DFW service in 1979. I'd planned on flying the US sector in 1980 but by then it was finished.

Alpha Alpha began her final journey to the Museum of Flight in East Lothian on 4th April 2004, leaving Heathrow for shipping by barge down the Thames and up the coast to Scotland. There was outrage at the time about the way the aircraft was crudely dismantled, but she is displayed in fine static condition now (my pic #525855).

The Armée de l'Air placed an initial order for 30 Epsilons in 1981 to partially replace the existing fleet of Fouga Magisters, with further contracts to bring the total up to 150. Deliveries commenced in 1983, the first training courses based on the new type starting in September 1984. Export orders were received from Togo in 1984 for three armed Epsilons and from Portugal in 1987 for 18 aircraft, to be assembled locally by OGMA. Ex-military examples are now finding favour as a high performance private aircraft in civilian hands in the US. This one is preserved at Cognac - Châteaubernard.
