The Aviation Technical Museum first exhibits were aircraft which required maintenance and had been sent to Luhansk Aircraft Repair Plant. Some aircraft remained there, and subsequently were written from use and preserved for display in the museum. This prototype of the Su-27 (T10-10) still has some significant differences with the production Su-27, as can be appreciated in this head on shot. The position of the undercarriage and nose wheel make the aircraft look quite different.

This Il-38 was the first production Il-38 and first flew in October 1967, conducted trials of the "Berkut" ASW complex at Kirovskoye in 1968. To the Ukrainian navy for ground instructional use by the technical school at Luhansk since 1997 and moved to the museu.

This Frogfoot belonged to the 368 ShAP at Demmin-Tutow (East Germany) and was captured at Templin where it refuelled before heading home to mother Russia.

663 examples were built of the Il-12 airliner and transport, although it was not without its deficiencies.

The same aircraft appeared as 10 blue later. Makes one wonder which was the original colour...

Preserved at the Central Aerodrome Museum at the Frunze Central Airfield/Khodynka, Moscow. The museum closed in 2003 and the aircraft moved on. The site was redeveloped.

Prototype Flanker A preserved at Monino

The 'T' version of the Coach was the transport version intended primarily for arctic operations and includes a large cargo door on the port side of the fuselage. This example is on display at the Central Museum of the Air Forces at Monino.
