Although marked as a USN XR2O-1, this Lockheed 10-A never served in the Navy. Built in 1938 and exported to Australia as VH-ABV and operated by MMA. After WWII reregistered VH-MMD. Returned to U.S. in 1954 and from then through 1975 operated by several entities with reg. N4886V. Reregistered N19HL and stricken from register in 1980. In 1987 Valiant Air Command reregistered it as N19HL. Restoration to flight status was started, but in 2002 the a/c was donated to the NNAM where a static restoration was completed. Currently on display in the main museum building.

In 1936 the US Navy acquired one example of the L-10 Electra (c/n 1052) and gave it the designation XR2O-1 and serial 0267. It flew as an executive transport for the top brass. That aircraft is now preserved at the New England Air Museum. The airframe seen here is ex-N19HL (which never saw any military service) and is displayed with a fictitious serial in the US Navy scheme in use at that time.
