After a long life as VIP aircraft, the FAB Learjets eventually turned grey and were operated as mere utility aircraft changing their designation to U-35A. This particular aircraft ended up in the museum at Dos Afonsos as such. However, here it is seen when it was still in its original splendour.

One of two FAB Learjets now on show at Campo dos Afonsos AB, this one was quite recently retired by Brasilia-based 6°ETA

'King Savang Vatthana's airplane', a gift from President Eisenhower in 1956. Ex N2714B. The king did not like to use the Aero Commander, as he could not sit in an elevated, regal position. On the right is a C-123K Provider, 617. The USAF's 54-617 was transferred to Air America in 1966. It was converted to a C-123K in 1969. The C-27 will be used by the USCG as a more economical and adaptable replacement for their C-130 fleet. This C-27 was operated previously by L-3 Communications Vertex at Robins AFB as 10-27023 but had amassed only 108 hours before retirement to AMARG. It is the first to be delivered and is being used to train and qualify CG aircrew and maintenance personnel as well as developing flight and maintenance procedures.
