The helicopter is listed as lost only nine days later, on 24 July 1954 at Dien Bien Phu, although the fighting there was over. The hospital is now Vietnam's Central Military Hospital 108. The aircraft was dispatched for a bombing run enemy troops on the West side of Wageningen on May 12, 1940, together with a few other aircraft. They were intercepted by Bf 109's and the aircraft was subsequently shot down near Rhenen/Opheusden . The aircraft made a rough landing and flipped over, however both occupants survived the events.
