This 737 wears a transitional color scheme as Air Canada kept Canadian Airlines a separate company for a year after buying them to get their balance sheet in better shape.

Delivered October 30, 1981, C-GCPY was another 737 that would last throughout the mergers of the '80s and 90s and would end service with Air Canada in 2003. It was sold to Triton Lease and returned for a short lease with Zip Air from April to August 2003. Triton leased it out again to Merpati Nusantara Airlines as PK-MBS from 2004 through 2008.
