Registered to Samuel Hashman who was the president of Great West International and here waiting to get into the Air Canada Viscount overhaul hangar for an over-nighter. The hangar was built in 1937 when those doors would have seemed like a marvel of engineering. The lower section slides up behind the upper section then the whole thing pivots outward. There was an individual electrical button for each segment which was pressed to start the whirring and rumbling as they opened.

Classic Jetstar registered to the President of Great West International Equities taxiis out. Later sold to Singer Company, the aircraft was converted to a Jetstar 731 and flew on for another thirty years.
