Last used by Atlantic Air Cargo the aircraft had been withdrawn from use and deleted from the register in July 1998. After being stripped of recyclable parts the airframe was donated to the airfield fire service for training purposes, and its hulk lingered on at Coventry well into the new century.

I had seen it and photographed it at Miami in 1978 as TI-LRM with LACSA, and in 1982 as N359AC with Turbopower Inc. It began its career with Qantas in Oct 59 as VH-ECA. Also F-OGST and N359Q before going on the British register initially as Air Atlantique.
