Air Florida operated a total of five DC-10s between 1980 and 1984 including all three aircraft from Transamerica on leasing contracts. This one flew for the airline from December 1981 till October 1982.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Transamerica was renamed from Trans International Airlines in October 1979 and continued to operate three DC-10s; N103TV here still shows the original silver belly, which was repainted into white soon afterwards. - The aircraft was later converted into an MD-10F with Fedex, who retired it in April 2022.

About to land on Prestwick's then Runway 31. Delivered new in 1973 to Trans International Airlines, which was renamed Transamerica in 1979. Joined Federal Express as N303FE in 1984. Withdrawn from use in April 2022 and stored at South California Logistics Airport (SCLA), Victorville, CA.

Delivered to Trans International Airlines July 1973, the tail logo changed when Transamerica Corporation bought Universal Airlines and Saturn Airways and merged them in 1976. After deregulation, the airline moved from charter and cargo flying to scheduled service and changed their name to Transamerica.
