Former US Navy JRF-5 37819. To US Department of the Interior with Fish and Wildlife Service as N780 in 1958. Had non-standard turbo conversion with 40 inch fuselage extension. To N92MT in 1993, CC-CTG in 1994, N92MT again in 1995, N86MT in 1996 and N221AG in 2001. Officially quoted as McKinnon G-21G c/n 1240, but this is not correct (McKinnon was not involved in the conversions). Destroyed in fatal crash at Al Ain Airport, United Arab Emirates in 2011.

What a machine! Although the aircraft is on the FAA register as a "McKinnon G-21G" c/n 1240, the conversion was done by US Fisheries & Wildlife Service. It is not a G-21G, but merely a G-21A fitted with TPE331 turbine engines (in 1971), a 40 inch fuselage extension (in 1974) and some G-21G modifications. There was no known involvement of McKinnon.
