With history going back to 1948 with Trans Australian Airlines (VH-TAS), this CV240 had later registrations AP-AHS (Pakistan Internal Airlines), PH-NLP and PH-EUT (Fokker operating for Euravia), N559R (Beldex Corp) and N396GC (Faberge Inc). Faberge allowed free use of the aircraft to retired actor Cary Grant when he became a creative consultant with the company in 1970. Later stored, it became a project for California Air Heritage Foundation in 2010 which later floundered. The fuselage is currently stored at Shafter - Minter Field at the time of uploading.

Spent various periods of storage, by 2013 owned by Golden Age Flight Museum at Bakersfield, CA in non airworthy condition.

To the Los Angeles Air Heritage Foundation in Aug 2009 and under restoration at Camarillo, CA. Plans abandoned and registration cancelled in Aug 2013. Fuselage last noted at Shafter, CA in late 2019.

At one time owned by actor Cary Grant and Howard Hughes to name a few the aircraft was originally delivered to TAA in October 1948 as VH-TAS. The photo show the aircraft when owned by Faberge Inc, in their livery.

At one time this aircraft was the personal aircraft of Cary Grant. The aircraft has been scrapped since this photo was taken in 2004.

Built in 1948 for Trans Australian Airlines as VH-TAS. Sold to Pakistan International in 1956 as AP-AHS. Served Faberge from September 1970 until August 1972 as an executive transport.

This aircraft looks rather forlorn. It was once owned by the actor Cary Grant and when seen here its purchase was being negotiated by the Commemorative Air Force.
