On display at IWM London. The 2F.1 was designed for shipboard use. Less than 300 of this Camel variant were built, and most were powered by the 150hp Bentley BR.1 engine. It had a two-piece fuselage for stowage aboard ships, and can be distinguished by slim steel centre-section struts. Typically flown off gun turrets, early aircraft carriers and even towed barges, this Camel piloted by Lt. Culley destroyed Zeppelin LZ-100 on Aug. 11, 1918.
