Delivered to Pan American World Airways on 18 April 1953. Involved in an accident at Schiphol on 1st February 1958 and subsequently converted to a freighter. Sold as N7344 to Liberty Air in May 1965 and became G-ATOB with Trans World Leasing February 1966. Leased to Trans Meridian London in 1966/67 and became VR-BCT with ARCO Bermuda in July 1968. Reported to have been briefly registered as TI-1065P in October 1968, still with ARCO, before reverting to VR-BCT. Written off in a belly landing at Abidjan, Ivory Coast on 26th July 1970.

Aircraft badly damaged here in Amsterdam on 1 February 1958 as the captain overruled the co-pilot's decision to abort approach for Rwy 19. Eventually rebuilt, apparently as a freighter. This was the first Boeing 747 delivered to any airline, the first of the type in service. Its name was changed several times and here it is seen as Clipper Washington. I took an unauthorised day off school on the second day of its service into the UK many years before taking this photograph to see it. Boy, did I get in trouble!!

Operated by ConocoPhilips Aviation to shuttle employes to the North Slope oil fields.

One of the 737-200s operated at the time in Alaska by the joint aviation departments of Conoco Phillips and BP Exploration. The aircraft were fitted with gravel kits, consisting of a gravel deflector on the nosewheel and a vortex dissipator extending out from under the air intake of each engine.

Delivered to Pan Am as N733PA in 1969. To Trans Air Service as 5N-THG and then stored at San Bernadino, CA in 1992. Later scrapped.
