Built in 1939 as NC61, one of eight WACO AGC-8s for the American CAA. Subsequently converted to an EGC-8 following the installation of a Wright R760E, replacing the original Jacobs LCMB engine. Sold and registered as N69607 c1945 and became N61KS in 1970. The aircraft underwent restoration between 2007 and 2010 by Raven Aero Service in Junction City, Kansas and now flies in colours similar to that of its original operator. Seen arriving at Blakesburg from its current home in Kentucky.

At the time, the aircraft belonged to Country Air based in Rockhampton and was used for flights to Great Kepple Island near Rockhampton and other charter activities. This photo was most probably taken at an agricultural field day at Thangool in Central Queensland. (Ivan Wilson Photograph)

Damaged in 1973. After more than 10 years as a museum exhibit restored to the register in 1985 as VH-CGF.
